Music to help with healing and surgery

There has been much research over the years that suggests a very strong link exists between listening to appropriate music and the body’s act of healing, particularly after surgery. In fact, music during surgery is being shown to reduce the stress that patients feel when going ‘under the knife’, however the best music to have would what you would choose yourself, rather than the music taste of the surgeon and their team.

Why not ask your surgeon if it is possible to bring in your own CD or even an iPod. At the very least, having music to listen to after surgery would be a great way to relax and allow the body to start it’s healing journey.
