Myoma Coagulation or Myolysis involves the use of intense heat or lasers via needles that will kill off the fibroid and its blood supply. The heat is used to cut, cauterise and vaporise the blood vessel and tissue.

It is very minimally invasive as it does not require an incision for the laparoscope to pass into the abdomen. The laparoscope is used via the vagina and cervix. This treatment should not be used for women who wish to have children as there is evidence that complications may result in any pregnancy that occurs.
